If you have an older cell phone or two that is collecting dust, plan on bringing them to the Sellyourcellular (www.sellyourcellular.com) booth at the Austin Innotech, Oct. 29 at the Austin Convention Center.
Proceeds from the sale of these unwanted phones will help Austin Goodwill. Sellyourcellular, a new Austin startup, is working with the Austin non-profit to demonstrate its fund raising capabilities and help providing funding for their operations.
According to J.C. Otero, the community outreach coordinator, for Sellyourcellular, phones are valued based upon the condition of the phone. The Austin company will then recycle them with their network of phone salvage and wholesale outlets.
