Jeff Reich, CISSP, CHS-III Director of Research Operations for the Institute for Cyber Security at the University of Texas at San Antonio and Josh Zachry Systems Security Lead for the Rackspace Cloud at Rackspace Hosting will speak on Cloud Security, Oct. 29 at Austin Innotech.

In April, the Cloud Security Alliance published version 1 of Security Guidance for critical areas of focus in cloud computing. Version 2 of this guidance is scheduled for release in October of 2009. In this program, Reich and Zachry will provide an overview of the updated guidance and identify some of the key security risks being introduced to the enterprise by the rapid adoption of cloud computing as well as a look ahead to how cloud computing will transform business and the nature of IT platforms.
